Electric Scooter Rental

1. Rental Terms

You agree to rent an electric scooter for self-guided use only. This is a self-operated rental with no professional guide included. The rental period is 24 hours from the time of pickup. You are responsible for the scooter during the entire rental period.

2. Safety Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old with a valid government-issued ID
• You must wear the provided helmet at all times while operating the scooter
• You must follow all local traffic laws and regulations
• You must not operate the scooter while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• You must not use the scooter on prohibited paths or areas

3. Refundable Security Deposit

A $50 refundable security deposit is charged once per booking and included in your total payment. This deposit will be fully refunded after the scooter(s) are returned in the condition they were provided, normal wear and tear excepted.

Damage, loss, or theft beyond normal wear may result in forfeiture of the $50 booking deposit and/or additional charges up to the full replacement value of each scooter ($1,200 per unit).

You assume full responsibility for the scooter(s) rented and agree to cover all costs for damage, loss, theft, or mechanical failure caused by negligent or intentional misuse. You are responsible for inspecting the scooter(s) before use and reporting any pre-existing damage.

4. Assumption of Specific Risks & Release of Liability

You acknowledge that operating an electric scooter involves inherent and significant risks, including but not limited to:

• Falls and loss of balance
• Fractures and broken bones
• Head injury and concussion
• Spinal and back injury
• Road rash and abrasions
• Collisions with vehicles or objects
• Loss of control
• Death

You voluntarily assume ALL of these risks and hereby release Turistta, operator Jonathan Guzman, and all associated parties from liability for any injury, death, or property damage arising from your use of the scooter. This release applies to claims arising from ordinary negligence but does NOT apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct by the operator.

5. Medical Fitness

You certify that you are physically capable of operating an electric scooter and that you have no conditions that would impair your ability to safely ride. You agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions or medications.

6. Return & Damage Assessment

You agree to return the scooter in the same condition as rented, normal wear and tear excepted. You authorize inspection and photography of the scooter upon return. Damage charges will be assessed and added to your final invoice.

7. No Insurance Coverage

This rental activity is not covered by traditional liability insurance. In the event of injury, you accept full responsibility for medical costs and any other consequences. We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance before participation.
